BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end WR2
ANALYSIS: “Scary” Terry McLaurin has been a steady pass-catching presence for young quarterback Sam Howell this season. He currently checks in as the WR20 in half-PPR, which is almost right on par with his 2023 ADP (WR22). The Ohio State product hasn’t had many boom games with only two weekly finishes within the top 15 at his position, but he does have four other top-30 performances, helping keep himself firmly in lineups.
The aforementioned Howell loves to spread the wealth in this offense with four players at or above 49 targets on the year, but McLaurin is far and away the top option with 19 more targets than the next-closest receiver. He did struggle to get it going this past week in Seattle, with four receptions on eight targets for a mere 33 yards.
Prior to that, he had four consecutive games with at least 12.3 PPR points. McLaurin now draws a Giants pass defense that ranks 21st in the league and just gave up 404 yards to Dak Prescott, including 151 yards and a touchdown to their WR1, CeeDee Lamb. McLaurin has also averaged 7.0 receptions, 92.5 yards, and 0.4 touchdowns in his career vs. the Giants. The Thanksgiving feast will start early in Washington on Sunday. He’s a WR2 with WR1 upside this weekend.
