He will be hoping to become the first returning boss to record a victory at Carrow Road since Paul Lambert with Aston Villa in 2012.

Norwich will be hoping to wrestle back control of the narrative this afternoon but more importantly are out to halt a run of one win in their last six matches.

Prior to the international break, City recorded a 1-1 draw against Coventry but received plenty of criticism for the manner they approached and managed the contest in, with Ben Gibson conceding a late own goal.

Norwich return to Carrow Road needing to find some form and face a busy week of fixtures, including a double-header at home against Leeds and Middlesborough.

Wagner is boosted by the return to full fitness of winger Borja Sainz who is available for selection after a lengthy lay-off with an ankle injury. All of City’s international contingent returned healthy.

Captain Grant Hanley has returned to training but will need time to build up his fitness after six and a half months sidelined with an Achilles injury. Jacob Sorensen is also on the recovery trail but won’t be in contention this afternoon.

Strikers Ashley Barnes and Josh Sargent remain sidelined with injury – with the former possibly returning prior to the November international break.

Leeds faced a slow start to the season after relegation to the Premier League and Farke inherited a squad with wantaway talents and had to grapple with change higher up the chain.

They have found form before the international break, taking 13 points from their last six matches and beginning to climb the Championship table.

Farke seems to have settled on a winning formula built around strikers Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe.

Norwich have enjoyed a strong home record so far this season, winning four and losing once in their five matches at Carrow Road.
