While their style has evolved with trends that come in and out, some things remain tried and true, like McGraw’s signature cowboy hat and Hill’s love of black dresses. The “Over and Over” hitmaker is rarely seen without a topper, whether he’s suited up or dressed down, though it seems he’s left leather suits in the early 2000s. As for the “Breathe” singer, her red carpet style runs the gamut. She regularly wears black and white looks but has also been known to don vibrant colors like red and aqua. Hill is also a proven fan of glitzy dresses with intricate beadwork and sheer details.

McGraw wore a white suit with a black shirt with white flecks underneath, a Western bolo tie and metallic croc-embossed cowboy boots to the 16th Academy of Country Music Honors in Nashville on Aug. 23 — the event aired on Monday. Meanwhile, Hill wore a little black dress featuring a ruffled neckline and back detailing with fishnet stockings and pointy knee-high boots.

2022

For the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Santa Monica, Calif., on Feb. 27, 2022, McGraw opted to go without his hat and sported a dapper black tuxedo complete with a bow tie and sleek black cowboy boots. On his arm, the “This Kiss” singer showed off a shimmery silver metallic gown that eclipsed her shoes.

2017

Taking the stage at the Grammys in Los Angeles on Feb. 12, 2017, the “It’s Your Love” singer donned a classic black suit with a white shirt sans tie, his go-to hat and black leather boots. Beside him, Hill sported a bold red gown featuring a sultry cutout design and a front slit that revealed strappy red sandals.

At the CMAs in Nashville on Nov. 5, 2014, the “Country Strong” actor paired his favorite cowboy hat with a velvety black tuxedo and pristine black boots. Hill walked the carpet in a semitransparent black dress adorned with sequins and a sheer, bow-embellished neckline.
