Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers have played some classic games, but they won’t get a chance to have another duel on Sunday.
The Jets’ season took a severe hit when Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles minutes into his team debut, forcing New York to roll with Zach Wilson as its starter going forward. Wilson’s first major test in the starting role will come on the road against a ferocious Dallas defense.
The Cowboys already dismantled one New York team, earning a 40-0 win over the Giants in Week 1, and Dan Quinn’s swarming front seven has the potential to make life very difficult for Wilson and the Jets’ offensive line in this matchup.
The Jets’ defense won’t make life easy for Prescott and the Cowboys, either. After forcing four Bills turnovers in Monday night’s win, Dallas will have to be on high alert to avoid falling into the same traps.
The Cowboys haven’t beaten the Jets since 2007, so while New York has had more than a few lean years over the last decade, a win has eluded Dallas in this matchup through multiple eras.
